SAND Patch Tracker

Editor: SunhuiCoverage: June 22–July 18, 2026Last verified: July 20, 2026

This tracker records changes that materially affect a guide: live content, named items, weapon values, Trampler rules, matchmaking, server safety, or extraction behavior. It does not copy every line from Steam. Each entry below states what changed and which guide assumption needs another check.

Current official state

July 18 live update

Anti-cheat improvements phase one is the newest official update reviewed here. It also reduced loot respawn timers from 30 minutes to 20 minutes, changed graphics defaults, fixed several ladder and HUD issues, and kept Trampler capture dependent on confirmation that anti-cheat protections are working.

What changed since the old tracker

The previous version of this page stopped at the July 2 rollback. That is no longer an acceptable current-state summary. Update #2 was redeployed on July 3, followed by Update #3, the July 12 capture hotfix, Update #4, the community Q&A, and the July 18 anti-cheat release. Pages that still describe the rollback as the newest state should not be trusted.

Three important “not live yet” items

  1. Gear-based matchmaking: the July 17 Q&A says the team must prioritize launch issues first and hopes to release GBMM during summer. It is a plan, not a live matchmaking rule.
  2. Contracts and quests: the team wants both and expects work to begin around autumn. Do not confuse this with the current extraction loop.
  3. Trampler capture: reactivation depends on anti-cheat results. The July 18 note still treats it as disabled pending confirmation.

How this site applies a patch

  1. Record the official publication date and preserve the direct announcement link.
  2. Extract only named changes that can be verified from that announcement.
  3. Update the affected core page and its visible review date.
  4. Keep planned features separate from live features.
  5. Do not invent post-patch test results. Player testing should be added only with documented conditions and captured evidence.
